Raw food classes launched at Harts Barn
News – From raw food noodles and pizzas to cheesecakes and chocolate cakes, find out more about raw and living food with Harts Barn Cookery School’s brand new classes.
Forest of Dean cooking school Harts Barn claims a raw food revolution is to hit the county of Gloucestershire, as it announced a new series of raw and living food classes set to launch later this month.
Kicking off at the Longhope venue from Sunday 22 January 2012, Harts Barn says the classes are not aimed at turning people to a raw food diet overnight, but aim to teach participants how to bring the benefits of raw and living food into their current way of eating.
The classes will be led by Soudley-based raw food advocate Deborah Durrant, who wants to debunk the myth that raw and living food is just about salad. Deborah says the movement is growing in popularity because it makes people feel better, provides real health benefits, enhances natural energy and helps people lose excess weight.
With her experience of eating a 95 per cent raw food diet, Deborah is reported to regularly eat raw and plant-based noodles, crepes, pizzas, cheesecakes and chocolate cakes.
She first became interested in the movement while taking a life-changing course with American life coach Tony Robbins, and is now a member of the International Association of Raw Food Coaches and Teachers, no less.
During the Harts Barn Cookery School classes, students will be able to learn about the basic principles and benefits of raw and living foods, from sea vegetables to super foods, including how to prepare easy and delicious recipes.
‘If you want a break from dairy or to eat less meat or get your kids to eat more fruit and veg, my workshop at Harts Barn Cookery School will give you lots of ideas – and lots of tasters of a whole range of new and exciting food,’ Deborah commented.
