Valentine's at The Snooty Fox

Celebrate Valentine’s with a special six-course tasting menu under the glow of candlelight, or go all out with a two-night stay and more, at The Snooty Fox in Tetbury.

The Snooty Fox in Tetbury is offering ‘something very special for your someone special’ this Valentine’s, with a specially-prepared Valentine’s tasting menu available between Friday 10 and Saturday 18 February 2012.

Enjoy a glass of chilled Piper Heidsieck pink champagne on arrival, before your pre-starter of pan roasted scallop with white and black pudding.

The choice of starters include whole prawns with vermouth, shallots, paprika and lemon; or goat’s cheese, apple and celery terrine with toasted walnuts and raisins. Then, for middle course, plump for smoked halibut and salmon with ‘all the trimmings’; or rabbit, duck liver, pork and prune terrine with pear chutney and rye bread toast.

Main courses include slow roast shoulder of lamb with mint and caper sauce with kale; or poached haddock and cockles with brown shrimp butter and chard.

Onto sweets and pre-dessert is a lemon posset with shortbread, while dessert highlights include Cambridgeshire burnt cream with spice biscuits; and vanilla and gingerbread cheesecake with lemon and lime ice-cream – or share the dipping fruits and marshmallows with chocolate pots.

Promising to be a popular romantic destination for couples across Gloucestershire, The Snooty Fox’s evening tasting feast also includes tea or coffee with petit fours, and costs £49 per person.

To make your Valentine’s that extra bit more special, The Snooty Fox is also running a special Valentine’s break package at the Tetbury hotel.

This includes two nights of luxury accommodation, an intriguing-sounding ‘romance box’ in your room, the six-course Valentine’s tasting menu on one night of your say, a candlelit three-course dinner on the second night of your stay, and a full English breakfast each morning – costing from £350 per room.
