Valentine's at Monty’s in Cheltenham

Five courses of fine food – including seafood-lovers’ delights – and live entertainment from Spanish guitar musician Javier Moreno await diners at Monty’s in Cheltenham this Valentine’s Day.

A popular destination for Valentine’s Day every year, Monty’s Brasserie will be pulling out all the stops again on Tuesday 14 February 2012, when diners can enjoy a special five-course menu and live Spanish guitar music.

Start your evening at 7.30pm with a glass of Prosecco and canapés, before taking your seat at 7.45pm or 8pm and tucking into a sharing platter of seafood. Complete with seared scallops, mussels marinière, oysters Rockefeller, tempura tiger prawns and even more deep sea delights.

Next, enjoy baby red mullet fillet with mango and coriander salsa, lime and chilli jelly, plus pickled ginger sushi rolls. You’ll want to save room for the next course, though; roasted fillet of Angus beef with garlic fondant potato, baby vegetables, truffled parsnip puree, pancetta crisp and port jus.

While the dessert platter will arrive to share and includes raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake, dark chocolate fondant and rhubarb and ginger fool.

If the delicious menu isn’t enough to tempt you, Valentine’s diners can also expect an extra-special romantic treat, as Spanish singer and guitarist Javier Moreno performs in Monty’s cocktail bar from 9.30pm.

Born in Barcelona, from a Catalan mother and an Andalusian father, Javier’s Spanish rhumba music is said to be influenced by flamenco and Latin rhythms. He sings in English and Spanish, performing popular covers as well as his own music.
