On the pitch the two Guinness Premiership clubs may be rivals, but for one day only Gloucester Rugby and Worcester Warriors will be teaming up for a festival of rugby, which aims to raise funds for flood relief work across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
Taking place at Tewkesbury RFC on Sunday 2 September 2007, Rugby Relief will feature a host of events to celebrate rugby, in aid of a great cause.
Included in the line-up of events and activities are both social and corporate touch rugby tournaments – where communities and business can enter teams of ten players. There will also be ‘kick pass run’ challenges, as well as a unique rugby auction – with a line-up of prizes including ‘money can’t buy’ experiences.
The day will also include Premiership Rugby Community Activities, a BBQ and bar for refreshments, not to mention appearances from some of the country’s top players, who will be signing autographs for fans and getting involved in the day’s events.
If you would like to find out more information or enter a team into the touch rugby tournament, please call Carrie Hamblett on (01452) 872273.
