Bredon Vintage and Classic Car Rally
See hundreds of stunning cars descend on Bredon Cricket Club, during Tewkesbury Rotary Club’s annual Vintage and Classic Car Rally.
Classic car buffs will be in their element this summer, when Tewkesbury Rotary Club once again stages its popular Bredon Vintage and Classic Car Rally.
Taking place on bank holiday Monday 31 August 2009, Bredon Cricket Club will be taken over by around 350 stunning cars – including many rare examples, according to organisers – with the chance for members of the public to see them up close, hear their engines roar and meet their enthusiastic owners.
There will also be a number of prizes awarded for pre-1939 and post-1939 cars, in addition to an enthusiast cup, an award for the oldest car and the ‘most wicked’ – with judging starting at 3pm. Winning models from last year include a Buick Century, Standard Flying 12, Austin 10, Jaguar E Type and Chevrolet 1926.
Visitors are sure to also enjoy the homemade cakes, barbeque and amusements – not to mention the licensed bar with fingers firmly crossed the bank holiday will bring some suitably splendid sunshine.
