Ian Coley Shooting School wins national award

Gloucestershire clay shooting venue Ian Coley Shooting School has just been awarded the Shooting Industry Award for Best Shooting School in the UK.

In a particular coup for local Ian Coley Shooting School, established in 1987 and based near Andoversford, the venue has just been awarded the coveted Shooting Industry Award for Best Shooting School in the UK – beating off stiff competition from the country’s best.

The eponymous Ian is reported to currently be in Cyprus with the GB Team, but was overwhelmed to be told the news over the telephone: ‘It was 1am in the morning here, but worth getting the phone call. I am so proud of my whole team, the shooting school, gunshop and sporting agency strive to be the very best, and this award is amazing’, he commented.

While considering the Gloucestershire shooting school for the award, the judges commented on the ‘high standard of facility and the investment in all areas of the school, to ensure a unique experience for new and experienced shooter alike’.

‘This is a very special year for me personally with the Olympics, and now to win this award is amazing, Ian added.
