Put your best foot forward and take to the streets of Cheltenham on Saturday 15 October 2022, joining a 10k night-time hike around the town in support of the Sue Ryder.
Gloucestershire walkers are invited to take on the challenge to raise vital funds for the charity, which provides palliative care and bereavement support for local families in Gloucestershire, both at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice and within the community.
It’s also an opportunity to get together with friends and family to remember loved ones who are no longer with us, all while hiking underneath an enchanting night sky.
The evening will kick off with live music and an energetic
clubbercise warm-up for keen hikers to limber up before they embark on the
specially designed route, which begins at St Edward’s Preparatory School.
The marshalled route will wind through Cheltenham, with the
opportunity to walk through the softly lit grounds of the Leckhampton Court
Hospice – where participants can take a moment to place a special star in
memory of their loved ones.
All walkers will receive a Starlight Hike T-shirt and fundraising support, with the annual event promising a great night out for a brilliant cause.
Best of all, thanks to event sponsorship from Capita, every penny of sponsorship money raised will help Sue Ryder to provide even more expert and compassionate care, ensuring that the end of people’s lives can be filled with friendship, family and love in their final moments.
