The Circus of Horrors in Tewkesbury
Not for the faint-hearted, the Circus of Horrors will be returning to Tewkesbury’s Roses Theatre for one ghoulish night of spectacular stunts, in the brand new show The Ventriloquist.
Featuring a line-up of death-defying stunts and blood-curdling bizarre acts, the Circus of Horrors returns to the county with its latest show, The Ventriloquist, at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury for one night only on Sunday 6 November 2011.
Made even more famous from the troupe’s recent appearance on Britain's Got Talent, The Ventriloquist is set in 1920s Berlin, where Dr Haze rolls into town with his Vampire Vaudeville show, featuring hair hanging beauties, twisted contortionists, demon dwarfs, gyrating jugglers, voodoo warriors, pickled people and its latest and greatest star – The Ventriloquist.
Promising Gloucestershire thrill-seekers a shockingly sensational night to remember – all presided over by the undead ringmaster – The Circus of Horrors features what organisers describe as some of the ‘most bizarre and beautiful circus acts on earth’, including a dare devil sword swallower, a trapeze artist performing an aerial act from her partners hair and an arrow-firing contortionist operating a long bow with her feet.
Created in 1995 by Doktor Haze and circus impresario Gerry Cottle, the Circus of Horrors made its debut at the Glastonbury Festival that same year. Since then the Circus of Horrors troupe has toured the world, including innumerable appearances on television, and many a sold-out performance in Gloucestershire.
