The Circus of Horrors in Tewkesbury

Event ended

Not for the faint-hearted, the Circus of Horrors will be coming to Tewkesbury’s Roses Theatre for one ghoulish night of spectacular stunts, in the brand new show The Day of the Dead.

Featuring a cast of human oddities, including Stretch, the Circus of Horrors promises to shock.
Featuring a cast of human oddities, including Stretch, the Circus of Horrors promises to shock.

Featuring a line-up of death-defying stunts and blood-curdling bizarre acts, the Circus of Horrors returns to the county with its latest show, The Day of the Dead, at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury for one night only in February.

The latest show, The Day of the Dead, is set in Mexico during the early 1900’s, when the cast of chaos mongers transport the body of their doyen Dr Haze to a remote area of Mexico.

With a cast of witchdoctors, voodoo acrobats, pickled people, bendy bodies, demon dwarves, burlesque beauties and flying vampires, the cult troupe of contortionists, fire eaters and acrobats are promising Gloucestershire thrill-seekers a shockingly sensational night to remember – all presided over by the undead ringmaster.

Created in 1995 by Doktor Haze and circus impresario Gerry Cottle, the Circus of Horrors made its debut at the Glastonbury Festival that same year. Since then the Circus of Horrors troupe has toured the world, including innumerable appearances on television, and many a sold-out performance in Gloucestershire.
