Swan Lake at Bacon Theatre
A classic ballet is pirouetting into Gloucestershire this spring, when Vienna Festival Dance perform Swan Lake at Cheltenham’s Bacon Theatre for one night only.
One of the world’s most popular ballets will be performed by a talented troupe of professional dancers from across the globe on 21 April 2010, as Vienna Festival Dance perform Swan Lake for one night only in Gloucestershire.
Arguably the world’s favourite ballet, Tchaikovsky’s score will once again be providing the soundtrack to an evening of classic entertainment, as the world-famous Swan Lake takes to the stage at Cheltenham’s Bacon Theatre.
Set on a lakeside with a corps de ballet of graceful swans gliding in perfect symmetry across the stage, the ballet tells the romantic tale of Prince Siegfried’s undying love for the Swan Queen, Odette.
Organisers say: ‘Celebrated for the freshness of their dancing style, their exquisite costumes and the strength of their corps de ballet, Vienna Festival Ballet have a reputation for producing high quality classical performances.’
With a cast including top-ranking dancer Robert Thomsen, who has danced with Matthew Bourne’s irreverent all-male troupe, the evening will thrill dance fans from across Gloucestershire.
Tickets to see Swan Lake at the Bacon Theatre are available directly from ticketweb.co.uk.
