The crowd is always good to and there's a lively atmosphere. My only recommendation is to arrive early. Oh, and I took a first date to one night...

Aladdin pantomime in Cheltenham
Until 10 January – It’s pantomime time in Cheltenham, as the family-favourite Aladdin takes to The Everyman Theatre’s stage for a festive feast of entertainment this Christmas and beyond.
When Aladdin arrives at The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham this pantomime season, expect festive family fun in colossal quantities – with bucket loads of boos and hisses, huge doses of heckling ‘he’s behind you’, handfuls of cross-dressing panto dames, and maybe even a wish or two from the Genie of the Lamp.
Opening on Friday 28 November 2008 and continuing until Saturday 10 January 2009, more than a month of festive performances are in store for audience members at The Everyman Theatre this year.
Expect to see a flying carpet swoop in, marvel at a host of magic tricks, watch out for Wishee Washee and Widow Twankey’s shenanigans, and join Aladdin on his journey from rags-to-riches – defeating the evil Abanazer and winning the heart of the beautiful princess along the way.
If you saw Dick Whittington at The Everyman last year, expect to see a host of familiar faces in this year’s pantomime cast which includes: William Elliot as Widow Twankey; Glen Hill as Chief of Police; Mark Roper as Abanazar; Naomi Lee Schulke as Aladdin and Mark Hyde as the Emperor.
While The Everyman’s pantomime Aladdin will once again be directed by Phil Clark and designed by Mick Bearwish, new additions to the cast include Candy Ma as the mischievous Genie, Cheltenham’s own Wink Taylor as Wishee Washee and Wendy Abraham as the Princess.
Promising good old fashioned family entertainment fit for all ages, a trip to the Everyman’s seasonal show shouldn’t be missed.
