The Naked Truth at The Everyman

4 July – A pole dancing play starring Abi Titmuss will be sauntering into The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham this summer, for a sizzling comedy for all the girls.

The play The Naked Truth will be raising lots of laughs and perhaps a few eyebrows, when the comedy about pole dancing opens in Cheltenham on Wednesday 1 July 2009, for a week-long run at The Everyman Theatre.

Written by Dave Simpson, who also penned the stage hit Girls Night Out, this is the fourth tour of the comedy which sees five different women struggling to conquer pole dancing for a breast cancer charity event.

Crammed with clap-along anthems, and starring Lisa Riley, Trudie Goodwin, Julie Buckfield and Abi Titmuss, as the characters’ stories unfold and unravel, they share laughter and tears in what organisers describe as a hilarious, sad and ultimately moving play.

Organisers say: ‘The Naked Truth is a poignant and uplifting comedy. It’s a show for women, about women, that men absolutely must see – if they dare!’
