Mum's The Word at the Everyman
Theatre-loving mothers across Gloucestershire will be heading to The Everyman to catch Mum’s the Word performed by five funny females on stage in Cheltenham.
Described as a smash-hit on two continents, Mum’s the Word will be arriving in Cheltenham on Monday 26 July 2010, for a week-long stint on stage at The Everyman Theatre.
Starring ex-Eastenders actress Gillian Taylforth, former Coronation Street star Tracy Shaw and Emmerdale’s Sally Ann Matthews, the show is comprised of five women, five stories and one common thread: ‘a hilarious and intimate look at motherhood.’
From the shocking realities of child-rearing to the daily drudgery of food, spit, snot, vomit, urine, faeces and bathwater, with which every parent can identify.
Performed more than 5,000 times around the world, Mum’s the Word is currently on its eighth tour of the UK, with a West End run to boot.
Audiences should expect a a liberating, enlightening and educating experience, watching ‘the secret, funny, dirty laundry of motherhood being aired in public’.
