Dreamboats and Petticoats at the Everyman
Polka dots and bobby socks – get your fill when West End smash Dreamboats and Petticoats returns to Cheltenham this March.
Hit musical Dreamboats and Petticoats is set to grace the Everyman Theatre stage once again this March, returning by popular demand after its successful run in the West End.
On stage at The Everyman from Monday 12 to Saturday 17 March 2011, the show is based around hits by rock ‘n’ roll legends such as Roy Orbison, Eddie Cochran and The Shadows, and promises to capture a sense of youth and innocence associated with the era.
The narrative follows wide-eyed lovers Bobby and Laura, Norman and Sue, and a jolly trip to Southend – complete with stiff quiffs, carousels and plenty of gags along the way.
Those looking for a heavy dose of nostalgia can expect nothing less from veteran writing duo Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, and can enjoy a score to sing along with.
Including classic numbers such as ‘Shaking All Over’, ‘Let’s Twist Again’ and ‘Runaround Sue’, the show is ready to delight audiences from all over and is bound to be a winner for fans of the rock ‘n’ roll era.
