Everyman labs for young performers and writers
This September the Everyman Theatre will be kicking off two new labs to give young performers and writers a head start in their careers.
Young people interested in pursuing a career in the theatre will be given a unique insight into the competitive industry on two brand new courses starting at The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham this September.
The Young Performers’ Lab is a series of practical workshops for 17 to 25 year olds, which organisers say is an ideal preparation for drama school auditions and offers the chance to develop acting skills. The first session takes place on Monday 6 September 2010, with the course costing just £10 for five classes.
The Young Writers’ Lab meanwhile will be led by industry professionals and offers a series of free workshops for 16 to 18 year olds with an interest in writing scripts. Running from Thursday 16 September 2010 until June 2011, the course is fit for those who’ve dreamt of writing a stage, television or radio show.
Sure to prove popular with young talent across Gloucestershire, with places limited on both courses, booking ahead is more than recommended.
