Top Hats and Tinsel in Cheltenham
Local theatre company Rain or Shine will be bringing its anticipated festive romp to Cheltenham in the new year.
Following on from a hugely successful summer tour of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, professional Rain or Shine Theatre Company is back with a season of nostalgic festive entertainment for its Top Hats and Tinsel tour.
Rain or Shine’s new winter production will be taking in venues across Gloucestershire, including at The Wheatsheaf in Leckhampton on Sunday 8 January 2012, and will be performed in the style of the popular BBC Television classic The Good Old Days.
Including enigmatic seasonal sing-alongs and music hall madness, Top Hats and Tinsel will give audiences the chance to while away a winter evening celebrating magical moments of melody, mayhem and melodrama, according to organisers. And best of all, you are invited to join in.
The Gloucester-based company ‘cordially requests that audience members put on their Victorian glad rags and raise their voices high in celebration of the season.’ A highlight of the evening will be the entire cast’s performance of the rumbustious Victorian farce ‘Nursery Chickweed’.
This will be Rain or Shine’s third annual Christmas show, following popular productions of A Christmas Carol and The Canterville Ghost which both attracted glowing reviews.
Don’t miss the full line-up of seven Gloucestershire Top Hats and Tinsel tour dates by visiting Rain or Shine’s website below, and don’t delay in booking tickets for this fantastically fun and festive romp.
Please note, Rain or Shine Theatre is running a special offer of two adult tickets for just £10.
