Bookworms and comedy fans alike are sure to relish the witty stories shared by celebrated comedian, author, actor and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig, when she takes residence at Cheltenham Town Hall for one night only.
To celebrate the upcoming release of her latest novel Valentine Grey, which follows the life of a young girl of the same name after moving to England from India in 1887, the multi-talented and self-confessed show-off will also be signing copies of the book after the show, which takes place on Tuesday 4 September 2012.
A long-standing host of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and regular on television panel show QI, Sandi has long held a place in the hearts of the public, and has also penned a number of popular children’s and adult books including Hitler’s Canary and The Chain of Curiosity.
With her latest novel said to centre on gender, liberty, empire and justice, we’re sure she will give the Cheltenham audience plenty to think about in her evening of stand-up, stories and fascinating facts.
