Offering a feast of varied comedy from some of the best in British talent, Cheltenham Town Hall will once again play host to the 2012 Hobgoblin Cheltenham Comedy Festival Finale, which takes place on the evening of Saturday 17 November 2012.
Headlined by a man who needs no introduction, Stephen K Amos, compered by the comedian’s comedian Boothby Graffoe, and featuring Men In Coats, Terry Alderton and Debra Jane Appleby, this year’s Festival Finale is set to be one of the best yet, and is sure to go down a treat with laughter-loving locals.
The Guardian said he was ‘born to entertain’, while The Sunday Times hailed him as ‘ the warmest comic around,’ and we’ve no doubt that Nigerian-born funnyman Stephen K Amos will charm and entertain the Cheltenham crowd with his natural, assured delivery and honest, original material that has seen him rack up countless comedy awards.
And fresh from a four-month tour supporting none other than Omid Djalili, not to mention extensive touring of his fourth album Bang! Is This Your Vehicle Sir?, Boothby Graffoe will be making a rare festival appearance as compere for the evening.
Terry Alderton will be showcasing his hilariously unpredictable alter egos, along with some vocal gymnastics and extreme physical pranks; Men In Coats are guaranteed to prompt more than a few laughs with their unique brand of real life cartoon comedy; comedian, metalhead, amateur occultist and all-round show-off Andrew O’Neill will be out in force; and Debra-Jane Appelby, who is said to have all the charisma of Peter Kay, completes the side-splittingly funny Festival Finale line-up.
