@Chelt52 returns for a third year

The social media project @Chelt52 is returning for its third year from January 2016 – featuring 52 eclectic participants, from feminists and jewellers to coffee shops and SoGlosWeddings!

Launched to share a different Cheltenham voice each week for a year, the social media ‘rotation curation’ project @Chelt52 is returning in 2016, with 52 fresh new participants.

Kicking off on Monday 4 January 2016, some of the past curators have included high profile organisations such as Cheltenham Festivals; notable Cheltonians such as Miss Cheltenham Sophie Smith and daily good deeds do-er Luke Cameron; cultural venues such as The Playhouse Theatre; sports teams including the All Golds; as well as local businesses including Regent Arcade. And last year, during February 2015, SoGlos also had great fun hosting its very own seven day-stint on @Chelt52.

Now with more than 10,600 Twitter followers, new tweeters scheduled for 2016 include Holst Museum, Cheltenham Feminists, Beards Jewellers, Pod Coffee and the Gloucestershire Magician, Richard Parsons. Plus, in February 2016 SoGlos’s sister title, SoGlosWeddings, will also be taking the Chelt52 reins for a romantic look at Cheltenham post-Valentine’s Day.

For the uninitiated, @Chelt52 was launched on Twitter by Liam McKinnon and Sophie Fryer as a social media project which passes a virtual ‘baton’ to organisations, businesses and individuals from across Cheltenham one week at a time.
