1. Sample gin on a tour of Sibling Distillery

Learn more about the gin-making process by taking your date on a tour of Cheltenham’s Sibling Distillery. The family-run business invites gin lovers to enjoy a two-hour tour and tasting at its HQ in Charlton Kings.

After the distillery tour, participants will test their new-found knowledge on a gin pub quiz, before watching cocktail demonstrations and sampling a G&T. There’s also the chance to stock up on a bottle of the award-winning juniper-based spirit in the on-site shop so you can recreate cocktails at home.

Fancy a date with a difference? Head to Cheltenham’s Airborne Trampoline Park and prepare to enjoy a giggle as you bounce to your heart’s content. The activity centre has 35 trampolines that you can practice your moves on and impress your date with some tricks if you dare!

If you’re up for a bit of competition, battle it out on the Ninja Run and find out who has the skills to jump, balance, climb and swing around the obstacle course the quickest.

3. Cosy up at The Clarence Social’s movie nights

The monthly movie nights at Cheltneham bar and restaurant, The Clarence Social, are perfect for a trendy twist on the classic cinema date.

Held in the cosy hidden basement bar, Croft & Jones Trading Co, the evenings include screenings of films such as Jurassic Park and Little Miss Sunshine, with tickets including a burger and a cocktail.

4. Indulge with a tasting menu at Prithvi

Bagging a covetable Saturday night table at Cheltenham’s Prithvi will certainly win you brownie points for organisation and effort! And if you want to impress even more, opt to have the five-course Prithvi Tour tasting menu at the award-winning fine dining Indian restaurant.

There’s also the option to add a flight of wines to accompany each course, while those who prefer to choose their own dishes can find plenty of tempting dishes on the enticing à la carte menu.

5. Take to the skies in a hot air balloon

Nothing says romance like a sunset hot air balloon ride over the Cotswolds, with the Ballooning Network taking to the skies from Westonbirt Arboretum and Gloucestershire Airport.

For a truly special date or surprise birthday, arrange to have an exclusive Champagne flight for two, which offers the chance to soak up stunning landscapes from a truly impressive vantage point.

6. Catch a gig at Gloucester Guildhall

From April to October you can make a splash at Sandford Parks Lido, a heated 50-metre outdoor pool that’s open till 7.30pm, making it ideal for an evening dip with your special someone.

Following a modest main course, prepare to indulge as diners are invited to tuck into seven traditional puddings, including favourites such as sticky toffee and date, which are served with lashings of custard.

13. Go wine tasting at The Grape Escape

Independent Cheltenham wine bar and merchant, The Grape Escape offers the perfect setting for wine lovers to enjoy a date night over a glass or two of the 300 plus varieties on offer.

In addition to running themed tastings throughout the month, discerning drinkers can savour wine flights, while there’s also the option to indulge in a cheese and charcuterie platter from The CheeseWorks along with your tipple.
