Gloucestershire woman, Sam Probin, took full advantage of the 2016 leap year tradition, with a romantic surprise proposal to her partner, Craig, at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire, which was organised by new wedding planning site, Bridebrook.co.uk.
The proposal was a complete surprise for Craig, who believed that they had won a hotel stay and lunch in a raffle at Sam’s work, before Sam asked the big question in front of five-foot tall letters spelling out ‘marry me’.
The couple have been together for five years and have two children together, and Sam said that although she was nervous, she was also really excited about the opportunity.
On hand to help manage the day was Bridebrook’s relationship expert, Tiffany Wright, who said she’s seen an increasing number of women keen to take the plunge and propose and it’s not only leap years now it’s at all times of year.
