SoGlosWeddings celebrates Gloucestershire wedding industry at summer party

SoGlosWeddings celebrated 18 months of success by hosting a fun-filled summer bash at Ellenborough Park, with the finest movers and shakers in the Gloucestershire wedding industry attending the exciting evening event.

SoGlosWeddings gathered together the crème de la crème of the Gloucestershire wedding industry to host a spectacular summer party at Cheltenham’s five-star hotel, Ellenborough Park.

The event, which took place on Wednesday 29 June 2016, marked 18 months of success for Gloucestershire’s first online wedding magazine, which now attracts more than 10,000 wedding-planning readers flocking to the site every month; over 4,500 subscribers receiving the monthly e-newsletter, and in excess of 5,700 followers connecting with SoGlosWeddings across our social media.

Stroud-based photographer, Christy Blanch, captured the evening for us with her fantastic photographs featured in our party gallery, while Ben Bruton-Cox from The Wedding Cut created an impressive video of the event, offering a flavour of the exciting summer party.

Held at Ellenborough Park’s stunning De La Bere Court, the venue was transformed by stylist Lauradana Day from Wedding Creations UK and florist Jenny Fleur, with the talented duo creating a fabulous setting with a stunning floral backdrop for the selfie station, a unique display for Vanilla Pod Bakery's cupcakes, and beautiful summery blooms adding a dash of colour.

Cheltenham’s Emerald Paper Design created the impressive calligraphy signs, while Blue Goose Hire supplied the giant SGW light up letters, which provided many excellent photo opportunities on the night.

The fun-filled evening offered a fantastic chance for movers and shakers from the Gloucestershire wedding industry to eat, drink and mingle, with venues, photographers, make-up artists, florists, hair stylists, stationery designers, wedding planners, stylists, musicians and many more attending the summer social, while Azure Wedding Cars' Bentley welcomed guests in style.

Guests were entertained by tricks from the Gloucestershire Magician Richard Parsons and live music from Tux Fizz's Chris Quigley.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped us put together the event and all those who came along and celebrated with us. Here’s to another exciting #sgwsummerparty next year!
