SoGlos launches new Kickstart Scheme marketing role

Building on the popularity of SoGlos's Kickstart Scheme vacancies, we have launched an exciting new role – with applications now open for a marketing assistant, as part of the government’s scheme for 16-24 year olds on Universal Credit.

Launched to give meaningful paid work experience in the exciting world of digital media to young people at the start of a variety of career paths, SoGlos’s previously advertised Kickstart Scheme roles have been some of the most popular in county.

And we have expanded this opportunity to include applicants with a passion for a career in marketing, by creating a specific new marketing assistant role.

About SoGlos’s marketing assistant role

This exciting and fast-paced role involves working on a broad range of marketing, reader engagement and social media campaigns; research; content creation; and being involved in the organisation of SoGlos events; as well as providing marketing and communication support to the Innovation Hub team.

Applicants must be aged 16-24 and in receipt of Universal Credit to apply. All roles meet the National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage standard, are based at SoGlos’s offices on Imperial Square in Cheltenham and are for 25-hours a week over a six-month period.

Applications for the new marketing assistant role are open now, with a start date of June or July 2021.

All our Kickstart Scheme vacancies are being run in partnership with Gloucestershire College, who will also be providing further training opportunities to our Kickstarters.

To apply, send a covering email and your CV to info@sopublishing.com – telling us exactly why you’d like to join the SoGlos team; why we should choose you; and details of your availability.
