Gloucestershire Airport has successfully secured Growth Capital Funding for its expansion, in September 2020.

Support for the application came from BPE Solicitors in Cheltenham, with its corporate team working with Gloucestershire Airport to advise it on a Local Growth Capital Funding agreement, which could allow the airport to create the infrastructure needed to develop land between Anson and Meteor business parks.

If the plans are approved, the first stage of the airport’s expansion will result in the development of a new business park, creating around 1,750 new jobs.

BPE Solicitors partner, Anna Wood, who supported Gloucestershire Airport with specific advice on construction, said: ‘It was great to work with Karen and the team at Gloucestershire Airport and to see the beginnings of new growth in the county.’

Gloucestershire Airport commercial finance director, Karen Taylor, said: ‘We are thrilled to see this project get underway. This is an important part of our growth strategy to deliver a sustainable business as part of our long-term vision.’
