Tayntons Solicitors' Curry Club

Tayntons Solicitors kicks off June with its ever-popular Curry Club networking event on Tuesday 6 June.

Taking place as usual at The Nepalese Chef on London Road in Gloucester, Curry Club is a friendly networking event that brings together local businesses in an informal setting, allowing for a relaxed opportunity to meet new people or catch up with contacts from the business community, all over a delicious curry.

The event takes place from 12pm to 2pm and costs £25 per person, including a starter and a main course — tickets are available on ticketing website Eventbrite.

CyNam event at Cheltenham Science Festival 

Cyber networking group CyNam is hosting its summer headline event at the Cheltenham Science Festival this June 2023.

The theme is 'Sustainable cyber — how cyber security can support a net-zero future' and will explore the development of 'clean and green tech', the related security challenges and how the cyber industry can play its part.

Taking place on Tuesday 6 June, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm in the Arcade Tent and the Helix Auditorium at the science festival, this free event is expected to be very popular, so be sure to sign up fast! Tickets available through the CyNam website. 


Gloucestershire Young Professionals social event


Gloucestershire Young Professionals is a group for young business people who are just beginning, or in the early stages of their careers and living and working in Gloucestershire.

In a fun social setting, the group has the chance to network, connect and get-together with other like-minded individuals in a friendly, safe and non-pressured environment. 

The social takes place at The Clarence Social on Clarence Parade in Cheltenham on Thursday 8 June 2023, starting at 6pm.

Maximum of three representatives per business and tickets include prosecco on arrival and access to the attendee list. Tickets available from Eventbrite.


Cheltenham BID Networking at the Cake Alchemist

Join Cheltenham BID on Tuesday 13 June from 10am to 12pm for a morning of networking, tasty treats and a guest speaker, at Cake Alchemist on Regent Street in Cheltenham.

This relaxed event offers a casual atmosphere where attendees can mingle, share ideas and swap contact details, all while sampling Cake Alchemist's finest pastries and bakes.

Sustainability in Business event

On Wednesday 14 June, insurance brokers Marsh Commercial will be hosting the Sustainability in Business event at the Hawkwood Centre for Future Thinking in Stroud at what is the latest event staged by  Gloucestershire-based TRING (The Really Interesting Networking Group).

Join a host of like-minded individuals, who make sustainability in business a priority, for a programme of exciting talks from experienced organisations sharing ideas for green practices.

With a key note speech from the founder of Good Energy and author of The Green Start-Up, Juliet Davenport OBE, the event kicks off with her essential toolkit for the modern-day entrepreneur, so businesses can operate in a more sustainable way to benefit both themselves and the planet.

The event, which is free to attend and takes place from 10am to 3.30pm, includes a two-course lunch and can be booked through Marsh Commercial.


Women in Leadership Networking event

Stroud-based charity, The Nelson Trust is inviting women in business to connect for a networking event celebrating female leadership at Gloucester Business Park on Thursday 15 June, from 5.30pm to 9pm.

Ticket holders can expect to hear from a panel consisting of local inspirational and entrepreneurial talent, including Bishop of Gloucester and president of The Nelson Trust, Rachel Treweek and managing director of Stagecoach West, Rachel Geliamassi.

Tickets to the event cost £30 per person, with all proceeds going towards supporting the work of The Nelson Trust. Included in the ticket price are canapes and sparkling wine on arrival, as well as a full barbecue.

Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire Annual Conference 2023


Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire (GEGlos) hosts its annual club conference on Wednesday 21 June 2023, giving members access to industry experts, workshops and the wider network, as well as celebrating the successes of the past year.

Over 35 exhibitors and hundreds of members will be in attendance at this year’s conference, which is themed 'Education in Construction'.

The event will be held at the University of Gloucestershire’s School of Business and Technology, at the Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester and runs from 2pm to 5pm.

The conference is free to attend for CEGlos members and will feature a variety of workshops, presentations and exhibitors throughout the afternoon.


Tetbury Businesswomen's Group — inaugural networking event


The Tetbury Businesswomen's Group is a new monthly networking meeting for women, taking place at The Trouble House on London Road in Tetbury. 

At its first ever meeting on Friday 23 June, from 10am to 12pm, attendees will have the opportunity to chat informally and introduce themselves to new contacts over a coffee. 

And once a month there will be a member spotlight, where a selected business will be able to showcase themselves and all they offer.

Business Safety in a Digital World with Gloucester BID

This free event on Monday 26 June from 9am to 11am will focus on cyber security and how it affects businesses.

In association with Gloucester BID, Gloucestershire Constabulary and Gloucester City Safe, the knowledge sharing session will look at simple measures to improve online security. The event will be led by Simon Williams, cyber protect officer at the Gloucestershire Constabulary and Mark Moore of the South West Cyber Resilience Centre.

This event takes place at Gloucester Brewery's Warehouse 4 at Gloucester Docks, is free to attend and includes tea, coffee and bacon baps.
