Pick out your speediest snail and head to The Daneway Inn this bank holiday, for family fun, cider and sausages at the Snail Racing Festival.

The Daneway Inn is set to host its Cider, Sausage and Snail Racing Festival on Sunday 28 August 2016, offering plenty of fun for local families at the picturesque country pub, located near Cirencester.

With heats taking place every half hour throughout the day, guests can enter a snail into the race for £1, with the grand final taking place from 6pm.

Contestants are encouraged to bring their own snails in a well-ventilated container filled with fresh lettuce, ensuring that no snails will be harmed in the making of this event.

What’s more, The Daneway Inn will be taking part in the Wadworth Summer of Cider campaign, offering local cider-lovers a great selection of tipples to try.

Customers can then soak up the suds, with a barbecue taking place in the pub’s beer garden, offering up the chance to try a snail-shaped sausages, with Cumberland sausages sourced from a local farm.

Promising a unique way to celebrate the bank holiday weekend, pick out your speediest snail and head to The Daneway Inn for a fun family-friendly day out.
