Offering a perfect summer’s afternoon in the Cotswolds, families can pack up a picnic and settle down at Batsford Arboretum for an open-air theatre show.

Set to be a great day out during the summer holidays, Hoot Owl will be performed on Tuesday 21 August 2018. A live adaptation of the best-loved picture book, expect original songs, colourful puppets, animation, comedy, silliness and costume changes galore.

The story follows Hoot Owl, who’s no ordinary owl; a master of disguise, he uses his cunning camouflage to gobble up animals of the night… but his prey keeps escaping. Audiences will have to wait and see whether Hoot Owl will ever be able to catch his own dinner…

With sets that remain faithful to Jean Jullien’s creative illustrations, the outdoor show is set to delight children and adults alike. What’s more, with tickets including entry to the beautiful arboretum, the event provides the perfect chance to explore the stunning Cotswold attraction.
