Zoom around in time travelling machines and get ready for take-off with a collection of enchanting storytelling sessions at the Museum of Gloucester this summer.

Forming part of The Moon Exhibition, which runs from Saturday 29 June to Saturday 21 September 2019, families can head enjoy special storytelling sessions this August – all of which are out of this world!

Tales from the Moon and Other Worlds

Join the fantastic Chloë from The Midnight Storytellers for an enchanting tale that’s out of this world. Children will be taken on a journey to the thrilling near miss of the Apollo Moon Landing, around flying ships and into fantasy worlds, in what promises to be an amazing high-energy performance.

Suitable for children ages eight and above, tickets cost £3 per child, with accompanying adults gaining free admission. Storytelling sessions are at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

Moon Historytelling with Shirley Halse

Take the whole family on a fun-filled adventure when Moon Historytelling with Shirley Halse takes off at Museum of Gloucester. An interactive adventure, the storytelling session will take audiences all the way back to the Greeks and Romans who thought a goddess pulled the moon into the sky each night.

Stopping off in ancient China, having a quick break at the Renaissance, before zooming along to the Apollo landings, this fantastic, immersive experience will be full of stories, games and educational activities.

Tickets cost £3 and accompanying adults have free admission. The session is from 2pm to 3pm.

Time Travelling Toby & The Apollo Moon Landing with Graham Jones

Join Cheltenham author, Graham Jones for a very special moon-themed storytelling session this summer. Suitable for children of all ages, listen to the story of Time Travelling Toby as he heads off to 1969 for the moon landings and a whole load of adventures.

Even better, kids can get stuck in by making their very own time travelling machine. The session is from 2pm to 3.30pm and is £3 per child, with accompanying adults gaining free admission.
