Meet the staff and see the impressive facilities on offer at The King's School Gloucester at its Sixth Form Information Evening this October 2023.

Year 10 and 11 students considering attending Sixth Form in Gloucestershire are invited to experience the inspiring learning environment at The King's School Gloucester at its Sixth Form Information Evening on Tuesday 17 October 2023.

The award-winning independent school offers Sixth Formers the chance to excel academically, as well as benefit from outstanding pastoral care and a diverse range of co-curricular activities.

Providing a unique learning environment, the school has a special relationship with Gloucester Cathedral, which is situated next door — and boasts a spectacular £2.5 million Sixth Form Centre with modern learning facilities, a cafe and welcoming social spaces, all housed within a historic 13th century building, designed to inspire pupils to think differently about the world.

As well as taking a guided tour of its stunning Sixth Form Centre, prospective pupils can hear from the Head of Sixth Form and different academic departments to discover what it's like to study at King's.

Winner of SGGLA Independent School of the Year in 2020 and 2021, The King’s School Gloucester is known for academic excellence and outstanding pastoral care, as well as a rich co-curricular offering.

King's also benefits from an inspiring location next to Gloucester Cathedral, while its impressive Sixth Form Centre, which opened in 2020 after a £2.5 million investment, blends modern learning facilities and social spaces designed to help students think differently about the world, with the original features of the characterful 13th century building.

Striving to provide its community of 120 Sixth Formers 'opportunities like no other', pupils benefit from a choice of over 26 A-level subjects, BTEC Sport and one-to-one support with UCAS applications, as well as other post-18 choices, to make sure they are well-prepared for life after school — with over 50 per cent of King's A Level students achieving A* to B grades in 2023.

The Sixth Form Information Evening provides prospective students and their families a unique opportunity to speak directly to the Head of Sixth Form and staff from the school's other academic departments, as well as experiencing its inspiring environment for themselves.

Choosing the right Sixth Form is a hugely important decision and the Information Evening provides the ideal opportunity for parents and pupils to receive information and advice directly from Head of Sixth Form and the academic departments within the School.
