One of Cheltenham’s leading recruitment agencies, Hooray is celebrating a key business milestone as it expands to a team of 10 from June 2021, following the move into a new town centre headquarters earlier this year.

Launched in 2017 and based in Eagle Tower from 2018, the independent recruitment agency has built a reputation for its ethical approach to serving the needs of clients and candidates across Gloucestershire and beyond, taking over the ground floor of a listed regency building on Rodney Road in Cheltenham in the spring of 2021.

The new premises paved the way for Hooray Recruitment to accommodate its now 10-strong team of recruitment professionals, while also facilitating further growth – with recent expansion focused on talent resourcing.

While the pandemic had a devastating impact on the recruitment sector as a whole, the firm’s managing director, Richard Arthur, and operations director, Ian Moriarty, took the time to revaluate the business’s strategy, giving rise to three distinct recruitment divisions: Professional Services; Tech & Engineering; Healthcare & Education.

‘As for many SMEs, the pandemic has been a particularly challenging time, but it also allowed us the opportunity to reassess our strategic focus. We battened down the hatches for a short period, but spotted a host of opportunities and potential talent in our own sector,’ said Ian Moriarty.

‘It was a risk, but we took the decision to recruit extensively over the past nine months, and are now the largest and strongest team we have ever been. This has meant not only surviving, but also thriving as a business, and we’re excited to be celebrating a brand new chapter for Hooray, our team and clients with a new HQ at 71 Rodney Road.’
