Unwind at Painswick Rococo Garden this Christmas with delightful views, unusual mazes and a festive trail, or cosy up with a marshmallow and cream-topped hot chocolate at the Coach House Café.

Families looking for an escape from the seasonal excesses can enjoy some fresh air and beautiful follies at the tranquil Painswick Rococo Garden, with its festive opening hours this December 2021.

As the UK’s only complete surviving rococo garden, visitors can wander around looking at fanciful garden follies with beautifully framed views across the valley setting; watch family and friends battle to find the centre of the maze; or lose themselves amongst the lofty trees of the woodland walk.

During the Christmas period, the garden will be open to visitors between Sunday 26 and Friday 31 December 2021 from 10am to 4pm, with last admission at 2.30pm.

What’s more, Santa has given his favourite reindeer an extra special job this December and has asked Rudolph to deliver presents to all the Rococo Garden animals. Unfortunately, on his way to Painswick, his nose stopped glowing and he accidentally mixed-up all the gifts and so he needs young explorers help to solve clues and match the correct gifts to each animal.

All successful explorers will receive a thank you gift from Rudolph in the shop before leaving.

Once guests have had their fun, they can relax and warm up in the Coach House Café, serving light lunches, delightful cakes, freshly ground coffee and marshmallow and cream-topped hot chocolate.

Parking at Painswick Rococo Garden is free and the shop will also be open with a range of local and seasonal products on offer. Pre-booking is essential.
