Offering the unique opportunity to explore The Wilson behind the scenes, the gallery will host two in-house exhibitions, spanning A Window into The Wilson, and BREAKING_ NEW GROUND.

The Wilson Museum and Art Gallery invites visitors to explore the inner workings of the venue, hosting two in-house exhibitions from Saturday 11 November 2017.

A Window into the Wilson

Saturday 11 November 2017 to Sunday 22 July 2018

A Window into the Wilson offers the chance to discover more about the venue and its collection. Visitors can see into its visible store, as well as exploring unexpected objects and stories that are hidden away.

Allowing a behind-the-scenes experience, the exhibition also examines the processes involved in looking after The Wilson’s collections, and promises an insightful and enjoyable visit.


Saturday 11 November 2017 to Sunday 17 December 2017

The Wilson invites guests to be part of its living exhibition, BREAKING NEW GROUND, a display which explores where we are and where we could go, in addition to the stories held in the building.

Sure to be a unique exhibition, visitors can head to the gallery’s temporary pop-up space where anything can happen!
