Encompassing everything from Cornish landscapes to pastel artworks, Chapel Arts in Cheltenham will offer an eclectic viewing experience during its November exhibitions.

Art enthusiasts can head to Chapel Arts during November for a host of engaging exhibitions, featuring Cornish landscapes, images of New York, and mixed show of pastel works.

Running for various periods throughout the month, the three exhibitions offer something for all tastes, and will take place across Chapel Arts’ ground floor, mezzanine, and long gallery.

Lar Cann

October Exhibitions at Chapel Arts

Chapel Arts’ ground floor exhibition will showcase a collection of works by Lar Cann from Friday 10 November to Sunday 10 December 2017, exploring aspects of the Cornish countryside with long-held themes of geology and mineralogy.

An artist who is engaged with the visual impact that the industrial extraction of granite, copper and tin has on the landscape, Cann’s exhibition features beautiful colours, forms and textures which are sure to delight viewers.

Leslie Gerry

October Exhibitions at Chapel Arts

The long gallery will welcome a stunning selection of works by Leslie Gerry between Tuesday 28 November and Saturday 23 December 2017, whose New York exhibition offers a completely new take on the iconic city, as captured by a first-time visitor.

With years’ experience as a practicing designer and benefiting from fine art training, Leslie’s style is unique thanks to the simplicity, distinctiveness and power of his images, which provide a brilliant take on New York, its streets, and its landmarks.

Mixed Show

October Exhibitions at Chapel Arts

Head to Chapel Arts’ mezzanine between Friday 27 October and Sunday 26 November 2017 for Some Pastels, Some Not, bringing together the work of four experienced pastel artists and offering an eclectic range of works in differing media.

The fantastic mixed show features Suzanne Jones who works with a range of media and enjoys printmaking; painter of colour, light and movement Tony Allain; award-winning artist Jeannette Hayes; and Jill Jeffrey who uses a variety of techniques with oils, pastels and mixed media.
