Local art lovers can head to Unicorn House in Cirencester this spring, for the chance to see the work of seven talented artists thanks to Laura Long Contemporary’s latest exhibition, Hype.

Running from Monday 23 to Friday 27 April 2018, the innovative pop-up exhibition promises a delightful viewing experience, and will be the first time the seven artists’ works have been shown together.

Featuring sculpture, photographs, collage and paintings, Hype comprises contemporary artists spanning Phil Bedford, Debby Besford, Detta Fane, Tom Hammick, Tamsin Relly, Stuart Semple, and Bella Thewes.

Gaining international recognition for the quality and unique approach of their art, their works have been displayed at prestigious venues including the V&A Museum in London, and the Museum of Art and Design in New York.

A highlight of the exhibition will be a signature piece by Stuart Semple, ‘Blinded by Hype’; a modern work that is triggered on approach, Stuart’s creation illuminates the word ‘hype’ with LED lights, leaving a lasting impression.

Speaking about the anticipated exhibition in Cirencester, Laura Long said: ‘Hype has taken several months to organise and I’m thrilled such a prestigious group of contemporary artists have agreed to show in the Cotswolds. This will be the first time all seven have been shown together in one place.’
