Welcoming an anticipated 170,000 visitors through the gates of RAF Fairford, The Royal International Air Tattoo is back from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 July 2023, promising an utterly unmissable show.
On top of hours of thrilling displays streaking across the Gloucestershire skies, including the inimitable RAF Red Arrows, visitors can get up close to miles of aeroplanes parked up on the ground, too.
Among the hundreds of planes involved in the flying and static displays, British Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters and Typhoons will be joined by an eclectic mix of aircraft from all over the world, including the Spanish Harrier, Jordanian Falcons, the German Messerschmitt 262, the Dutch Chinook helicopter — affectionately known by fans as the 'Wokka' due to its distinctive sound — and the 'Cadillac of the skies', the North American Civilian Mustang.
The theme of this year's show is SKYTANKER23, highlighting the incredible feat of air-to-air refuelling from its beginnings in 1923 right through to modern military aviation.
There are also opportunities to meet over 200 RAF personnel; explore the multitude of interactive exhibits to inspire the next generation of aviators in the Techno Zone; browse the stalls in the Village Green; and enjoy live music and dancing on the bandstand.
The show opens from 7.30am each day, with flying displays getting underway from 11am on Friday and 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
Adult tickets cost from £40 each and are already selling fast. Visitors can also save up to £5 off the standard ticket price by booking the free shuttle bus service from Cheltenham Park and Ride.
Children under 18 can visit the show for free, making for a fantastic day out for the entire family.
Please note, tickets to the Royal International Air Tattoo must be purchased online in advance and no tickets will be available on the gate.
