Take a trip back in time without ever leaving Gloucester as vintage car, fashion and music festival, Gloucester Goes Retro, returns on Saturday 26 August 2023.

Turning the clock back on the city's streets, the event is a great way to appreciate the history of the local area – spanning the roaring 20s, World War II and the swinging 60s, right up to the present day.

Visitors can see vintage cars, fashions, reenactors and cosplayers take to the streets and vintage-inspired acts on the music stage, where there's the chance to try swing dancing too.

Meanwhile, fans of historic and restored vehicles can see a selection of over 500 classic cars, motorbikes, scooters and military vehicles, from famous brands like Aston Martin, Bentley and Jensen, lining the streets of Gloucester for the occasion.

Over at Kings Square, there's family entertainment inspired by the 80s and 90s, from fortune teller origami and retro games to breakdancing displays. Keep an eye out for the replica Ghostbusters car – and you certainly won't miss the 13ft tall Stay Puft Marshmallow Man hovering over the square!

There's also an amateur photography competition running on the day, in honour of festival founder Councillor Colin Organ who sadly passed away last year, so don't forget your camera!
