Outdoor cinema at Thornbury Castle in Bristol

Film fans can look forward to a glamorous outdoor cinema experience at Thornbury Castle near Bristol this summer. The family box office hit The Greatest Showman is being shown on the big screen on June 8 2024 — all thanks to The Alfresco Film Company.

Outdoor cinema at Gloucester Prison

Gloucester Prison provides a haunting setting for Outdoor Cinema's screening of classic The Shawshank Redemption. On​ Thursday 8 August 2024, with vendors selling food and drink and a chance to explore parts of the prison, this is going to be a night out to remember — just bring a blanket or chair.

Outdoor cinema at Cotswold Airport

Coming in at high velocity, both instalments of the Top Gun franchise are landing at the Cotswold Airport on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August 2024. With the big screen set up right next to the venue's Negus 747 aircraft, it provides the perfect spot to watch the high-octane, jet-fuelled duology.

Outdoor Cinema Gloucester is bringing the cinema experience to Dowty Sports Club this summer, with screenings of Mamma Mia​ on Saturday 25 May and Encanto on Sunday 26 May. There is VIP seating, hot food and a bar available, too.

Bringing the big screen to the Forest of Dean, The Alfresco Film Company is hosting a special screening of Grease at The Speech House Hotel, in aid of local charity Great Oaks Hospice, on Saturday 15 June 2024. Outdoor cinema at Ellenborough Park near Cheltenham

Experience spectacular outdoor cinema at Ellenborough Park near Cheltenham. This is the venue for The Alfresco Film Company's showings of Mamma Mia on Friday 19 July and Barbie on Friday 6 September. Premium deck chairs are available for those wanting the VIP watching experience closer to the screen, as well as drinks, snacks and hot food.
