On the menu: The whole family can tuck into the famous Rene roast, complete with traditional trimmings, perfect if you don’t fancy a formal three-course dinner this Mother’s Day. On the menu, diners will find garlic and rosemary slow roasted leg of lamb; Scrumpy and sage roasted loin of pork; red wine and tarragon roasted sirloin of beef; and a mixed meat roast for the big eaters in attendance. Plus, there’s a nut and vegetable roast for the veggies too. On Mothering Sunday mums will also be treated to free desserts, offering a delicious end to a family meal.

Mother's Day at Tiger's Eye 2016

On the menu: Pan-Asian restaurant Tiger’s Eye offers an innovative menu that has plenty to tempt diners this Mother’s Day. If your mum’s a fan of Japanese food she’ll love sample the delicious variety of sushi, including spicy tuna maki and California rolls, while the choice of starters span Vietnamese summer rolls and mini salmon fishcakes. In addition to mains such as five-spice duck breast, guests can enjoy an immersive dining experience by cooking their own meals right at the table on the Black Rock Grill. On the menu: The Ox Cheltenham offers the perfect setting for enjoying a delicious Mother’s Day meal, with its Sunday lunch menu featuring tasty dishes to suit all palates. The restaurant, which is best known for its fine selection of steaks and meats, creates lip-smackingly good food using local and seasonal produce. The Sunday starters include Ox smoked salmon with cucumber and wasabi yoghurt; roasted bone marrow with Parmesan and caramelised onion on toast; and barbecue quail with tandoori sauce and spiced lentil. The star of the show is The Ox’s roasts, spanning crisp belly of pork; roast beef rib-eye; roast chicken; and a veggie option, which are served with roast potatoes, leeks and greens, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding. And, if you want to get your steak fix, you can also order a rump, rib-eye, sirloin or bavette, accompanied with triple-cooked chips and green peppercorn sauce.

The Wharf House

Mother’s Day at The Wharf House

On the menu: Start a sophisticated Mothering Sunday lunch or dinner at The Wharf House, where you can choose delicious dishes from its à la carte menu. Starters include goat’s cheese mousse rolled in ginger crumb and served with texture of beetroot; honey-roasted fig with air-cured ham and house piccalilli; and fillet of beer carpaccio in a marinade of olive oil, lemon, and mustard. The main course options include venison rolled in walnut served with leek and potato gratin, honey glazed parsnips, and a redcurrant and chocolate sauce; roast loin of Herefordshire pork filled with onion, bacon and ginger stuffing; and the fish of the day served with pea shoots and rosemary and Cornish sea salt sautéed potatoes. The delectable desserts span baked cheesecake; warm fruit crumble; a duo of lemon and raspberry posset; and poached vanilla pear with cashew and cranberry brittle and passion fruit ice-cream.
