Local beers, ciders, perry and fine wine will all be on offer at The Wharf House’s annual summertime event, alongside plenty of tasty treats and live music entertainment.

Running alongside the anticipated Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal Festival, this summer will see the return of the Beer, Cider and Perry Festival in Gloucester.

Taking place within the picturesque setting of Over Basin on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August 2017, real ale fans, foodies and festival-goers can look forward to a weekend of summertime fun.

Food and drink

The Wharf House

Promising to be bigger and better than ever, visitors will be keeping their fingers crossed for some summer sunshine, with a range of delicious local and artisan drinks on offer for festival-goers to sip on in the beer garden.

Previous years have included traditional ciders and perries from Herefordshire-based Gwatkins and Westons Cider, and quality real ales from the Wye Valley, Gloucester and Hook Norton Breweries; with a selection of fine wines also on the menu for 2017.

Meanwhile, there will also be plenty of delicious food on offer, including a barbecue, pork rolls, and cream teas, giving festival-goers the chance to enjoy an array of tasty treats.

Music

The Wharf House

Alongside the refreshing tipples and enticing food, visitors can look forward to live music entertainment, which is sure to provide a pleasant backdrop for the weekend festivities.

Last year’s performances saw an impressive line-up of local bands, with this summer’s event sure to showcase more home-grown talent.

And, don’t miss SoGlos’s preview of the Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal Festival, taking place alongside the beer and cider festivities.
