Cheltenham is to get a new addition to its restaurant scene when The Old Courthouse opens its doors on the former site of Jamie’s Italian in early 2018.
Pub and restaurant group, Brunning & Price, has taken on the historic courthouse building and plans to breathe new life into it while honouring its rich heritage.
Mary Willcock, MD of Brunning & Price, said: ‘We are very excited and fortunate to have landed such an historic building in this beautiful part of the world. We plan to sensitively transform the building into a welcoming pub restaurant, which we hope will find a place within the hearts of the locals.’
Work will take place over winter to transform the venue into a stylish bar and restaurant space over two floors, with Brunning & Price keen to retain its authentic and original features while offering a relaxing place to eat, drink and socialise.
The pub will be serving a good selection of cask ales and craft beers, along with an extensive wine list, while the team will soon start work on developing the seasonal menu, which will feature classic British dishes alongside more exotic influences.
