Restaurants, cafés and businesses across Gloucester have had to transform so that they can still operate safely during lockdown – providing the city with delicious food to enjoy from the comfort of home.

From freshly baked baguettes to mouth-watering brownies, Bake & Brew in Gloucester Docks is open seven days a week for takeaway only. The independent Gloucester coffee shop is accepting card only and is asking passers-by to pop in and see them — following social distancing guidelines, of course.
The ever-popular Farmhouse Deli in Gloucester is open for hot food and drinks to take away. But, if you can’t make it down to the store in Northgate Street, you can have your Farmhouse favourites delivered direct to your door — with a minimum spend of £20. Orders for both click and collect and delivery can be placed via their website.
Bringing a taste of Greece and the Mediterranean to Gloucester, Greek on the Docks can be enjoyed at home with both collection and delivery available Monday to Friday 4pm to 8.30pm, Saturday from 12pm to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 7pm. Orders can be placed via the website or by calling (01452) 524574.
Rugby and pizza, is there a better combination? Gloucester’s rugby-themed Hooker & Eight on Westgate Street is offering pizzas and calzones that you can scrum down on at home. The collection line is open from 6am online and 9.30am via telephone until 8pm – with collections spots available from 5pm to 8.30pm.
A firm favourite when it comes to freshly-baked goods, Janes Pantry in Glouecster is offering both a takeaway and delivery service. So you can either pop in to pick up those dreamy cakes or have your fresh bread delivered to your door via the Just Eat app.
Offering tasty, home-cooked meals delivered direct to your door, Knobbly Cobb in Gloucester city centre is offering delivery services via UberEats or Deliveroo – or you can pop down to the Westgate Street store to collect your treats from its non-contact collection point.
The woks at Wagamama are still firing, so you can still get your fix of delicious Japanese cuisine. It’s also launched a Veganuary menu which, along with all your favourites, is available for delivery through Deliveroo as well as click and collect from the Gloucester Quays restaurant.
Family-owned Spago in Glouecster’s Baker’s Quay, is an independent restaurant serving Spanish tapas, sweet and savoury crepes and Italian Prosecco. It’s open for collection and delivery from 10am to 5pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 7pm Fridays and Saturdays – you can order both takeaway and delivery via their website.
Located in Gloucester Quays, the city’s Five Guys is open for click and collect, takeaway and deliveries on Deliveroo, so you can still get your hands around the popular burgers with a whole host of toppings – and those incredible fries too.
Offering some of the tastiest fish and chips in Gloucester, Ye Olde Fish Shoppe is offering both takeaway and delivery options during lockdown three. You can place an order for delivery through JustEat, UberEats and Deliveroo or you can pop down to the Hare Lane restaurant Monday to Thursday between 11am and 8pm or between 11am and 9.30pm on Friday and Saturday.
Promising food ‘beyond your expectations,’ Gloucester’s Aroma restaurant takes you on a trip to India from the comfort of your living room. Head down to Southgate Street to pick up your Chicken tikka or have your dinner delivered by placing an order online.
Sharing a taste of Lebanon, Syria, Spain and Greece with Gloucester, The Med Kitchen’s menu is full of rich flavours. Orders can be placed through its website to have your food delivered or collect it yourself.
Westgate Street’s The Cavern is now offering its full menu every week, Monday to Friday, for both delivery and collection. Orders can be placed between 11am and 5pm either online or through the JustEat app – with everything from pizzas, paninis, salads, milkshakes and more to choose from.

Founded on the belief that it could create the best Thai dishes gluten-free with locally sourced ingredients, Bangkok Canteen on Gloucester’s Westgate Street is offering 10 per cent discount on orders for collection – as well as free prawn crackers. It’s also offering free delivery on orders over £40 within a two mile radius.
While out on your daily exercise, stop off for a pick me up at Peppers Coffee in Bull Lane, just off Westgate Street in Gloucester city centre. The venue is currently operating as takeaway only and is offering hot drinks, toast, tea-cakes and homemade jams and preserves.
Independent contemporary tearoom, The March Hare, is offering takeaway options of its freshly-prepared food from Monday to Saturday, as well as home delivery on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. What’s more, it is also offering discounts to keyworkers and those who work in Gloucester city centre.
Family-owned Italian restaurant Topoly’s has been in Gloucester for more than two decades and is open for both collection and delivery during lockdown. Orders for collection should be made via phone while orders for delivery can be made both via the website and on the JustEat app.
With fish and chips, steaks, burgers, pies and more on the menu, you can order online from Gloucester’s Black & White Restaurant and have it delivered straight to your door or pop down and pick it up.
