While firework displays and bonfire nights in Gloucestershire were few and far between in 2020, celebrate Guy Fawkes across the county in 2021 with SoGlos’s comprehensive guide.

Cheltenham Round Table charity fireworks at Cheltenham Racecourse

What’s happening?

Recognised as one of the largest fireworks displays in the south west, visitors can expect a fantastic firework extravaganza at Cheltenham Racecourse, packed with attractions and entertainment for the whole family – including children’s TV character Peppa Pig, a funfair, as well as food and drink stalls.

When and where?

Saturday 6 November 2021 at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The important bits

Gates open at 5pm, with the fireworks taking place from 7pm. Tickets cost £8 per adult and £4 for children aged three to 18 when purchased online; ticket prices on the gate cost £10 per adult and £5 per child.

Please note, no cash will be accepted at the gate, so guests must pay via card.

Leckhampton Scouts Bonfire Night

What’s happening?

Join Leckhampton Scouts as they light up the county’s skies this November 2021, with its dazzling annual firework display.

With a licensed bar, soft drinks and hot food, plus a gorgeous display, guests can enjoy a cosy evening suitable for the whole family.

When and where?

Saturday 2 November 2021 at the 24th Cheltenham (Leckhampton) Scout Hut, with fireworks displays taking place at 6:45 and 7:30pm.

The important bits

Gates open at 6pm. Leckhampton Scout Bonfire Night costs £5 for adults and £3 for children, with under twos entering free of charge. Tickets can be purchased from the Scout Hut in Leckhampton.

Fireworks at St Edward’s Preparatory School

What’s happening?

Coined as one of the best family fireworks shows in the town, St Edward’s Preparatory School will be hosting an evening packed with entertainment – with children’s fun fair rides; magic shows; a giant bonfire; and of course, a wonderful firework display illuminating the skies above Cheltenham.

When and where?

Taking place on Saturday 7 November 2021 at St Edward’s Preparatory School, tickets cost £5 per person with under 3’s going free and can be bought from the main office at both the Prep and Senior Schools.

Tewkesbury firework displays and bonfires 2021


Fireworks at Tewkesbury Festival of Lights 2021

What’s happening?

Immerse yourself in a spectacle of light and sound at Tewkesbury Festival of Lights, taking place at Tewkesbury Abbey.

A dazzling experience for all ages, Tewkesbury Festival of Lights invites visitors to wander through Tewkesbury Abbey, as an immersive sound and light show brings it to life. Created by award-winning artists, Luxmuralis, the event will illuminate key historical moments through audio and visual displays to celebrate the famous abbey’s 900th anniversary.

All followed by Tewkesbury’s annual fireworks display, complete with a blazing bonfire and fairground rides for an evening of traditional family fun.

When and where?

From Tuesday 2 to Friday 5 November 2021 – followed by a bang-tastic firework display on Pageant Meadow on Saturday 6 November 2021.

The important bits

Tewkesbury Festival of Lights costs £10.50 for adults and £8.50 for children aged three to 15. Under threes are free of charge. Tickets can be booked for 20-minute slots taking place between 6pm and 10pm each evening.

Stroud firework displays and bonfires 2021


Fireworks at Cattle Country Farm Park

What’s happening?

Join Cattle Country Farm Park this year for its fireworks extravaganza, promising a spectacular evening of fireworks and fun. This annual show is set to be a brilliant occasion for those of all ages.

Alongside the two indoor Play Barns being open for little ones to play, the onsite café GRAZE will be serving up takeaway food and drink to go – so relax, refuel and watch as the wonderful display takes place.

When and where?

Saturday 6 November 2021 at Cattle Country Farm Park in Berkeley.

The important bits

The gates open at 5pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6pm and fireworks starting at 7pm.

Entrance tickets cost £9.50 per person, with children under one going free. Online booking is essential as no tickets will be available to purchase on the night.

Five Valleys Fireworks in Stroud



What’s happening?

Entertaining people across the Five Valleys for more than half a century, join Stroud’s biggest firework event, where guests can look forward to an evening full to the brim with entertainment for the whole family.

With John Coneley’s fun fair; shows from the renowned south west Punch and Judy entertainer, John Harvey; a magnificent firework display run by former British Firework Champions – Star Fireworks; and plenty of stalls offering food, drinks and snacks.

When and where?

Monday 25 October 2021 at the Marling School playing field in Stroud.

The important bits

Gates will open at 6pm, with the fireworks display starting at approximately 8pm.

Tickets can be bought online and cost from £8 per adult and £4 per child of primary school age.

Fireworks at Walls Club in Barnwood

What’s happening?

Join Firework Fest Bonfire Edition for Gloucester’s biggest musical firework display. Lighting up the chilly autumn skies above Gloucester and following the Summer Firework Fest, a spectacular musical firework display is sure to dazzle guests this November.

With a great soundtrack, massive effects, food and drink, as well as a host of entertainment including a funfair, it’s an evening not to be missed.
