The lowdown: The Isbourne offers a sanctuary for wellbeing and spiritual development in the heart of Cheltenham. The centre’s educational programme spans an extensive array of courses, workshops and guest speaker talks that are specifically designed to promote health and fitness for the mind, body and soul. With communication, healing, self-development and spirituality all featuring in its diverse range of regular courses and events, you will leave feeling revitalised, refreshed and ready to take on 2019. Venue: Cheltenham Pilates and Yoga Studios

The perfect chance to: Banish January blues and give your body and mind a fresh start in 2019 by taking up yoga or Pilates.

The lowdown: Cheltenham Pilates and Yoga has over 100 classes a week, offering plenty of opportunity to practice your poses at its relaxing and welcoming spaces. Founded in 2009, the yoga classes take place at its Rodney Road studio, while the Pilates and Barre studio is located at Sherborne Place.

What’s on offer: Whether you’re a complete beginner, seasoned yogi, or Pilates pro, the studios welcome students of all levels and provide all equipment needed. The yoga classes, available on a drop-in basis, span Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Power, Gentle Restorative, and also include pre- and post-natal sessions, and dedicated teen classes. During the Pilates sessions, which need to be pre-booked, you’ll learn how to move better and breathe well, with the choice of classes including Mat and Reformer Pilates, while there are also toning Barre sessions to sample.
