Claydon Dental to educate 1,000 children during National Smile Month

Cheltenham's newest private dental practice, Claydon Dental, has announced its excitement to get involved with National Smile Month, set to visit local primary schools and educate 1,000 children between May and June 2017.

Claydon Dental in Cheltenham is set to get involved with the local community during National Smile Month, a campaign which strives to raise awareness of important health issues and make a positive difference to the oral health of millions.

The private dental practice, located in the centre of Cheltenham, is set to visit four primary schools during Smile Month, which runs from Monday 15 May to Thursday 15 June 2017, with the aim of promoting dental health among families during fun and interactive sessions.

The visits will see Claydon Dental’s registered oral health education nurse, Nicky Pascoe, delivering enjoyable and educational presentations to more than 1,000 Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. What’s more, all children will receive a goody bag to help them stay healthy after the session.

Speaking of her plans, Nicky said: ‘I am really excited about this project. I’ll be covering the importance of good oral hygiene, healthy food choices, and regular dental examinations.

‘It will include an opportunity for the children to ask their own questions, learn through playing and watching live demonstrations.’
