Offering the perfect opportunity to try something new, discover a new hobby, and practice self-care, The Isbourne has teamed up with the NHS for a host of free taster sessions this autumn.
Taking place from Monday 13 to Sunday 19 November 2017 as part of National Self Care Week, The Isbourne’s programme offers something for everyone and encourages guests to learn how to keep their minds and bodies healthy by discovering what makes them happy.
SoGlos has listed the individual events below, with full information and timings available by visiting isbourne.org directly.
The week will begin with How to Make Time Your Friend, Not Your Enemy with traditional acupuncturist, Helen Hayes, who will share tips for introducing self-care into your daily life.
There will also be What does Contentment Mean to You? which explores how movement, stillness and touch can bring greater awareness to the mind and body.
Tuesday will begin with Shamanism and Eco Shamanism which brings shamanism into the 21st century; followed by Singing for Health which invites all abilities to discover how singing can be good for the soul, aiding feelings of wellbeing and happiness.
Join experienced tutor Kathryn Buxton for Meditation and Mindfulness for All, offering the chance to find out more about the practice, learn some simple meditations, and explore how to clear your thoughts.
There will be a morning session to Discover a Healthier Approach to Food, offering an insight into the health benefits of plants, herbs and spices. Meanwhile, in the evening, join an Aroma Yoga class which will explore simple poses and some guided relaxation.
Saturday will begin with a Flowing Yoga session with experienced teacher Ann Morley; followed by How Tarot can Enhance Your Life with professional tarot reader Lois Hastings.
