Editor's ChoiceDon’t miss pop sensation Kate Nash during her anticipated return to Gloucester.
Having sold out faster than you can say ‘Do-Wah-Doo’, Kate Nash will be returning for her third live performance at Gloucester Guildhall on Wednesday 12 June 2013.
While the award-winning singer-songwriter needs little introduction, Kate Nash stormed the UK charts in 2007 with number two hit ‘Foundations’, followed by the platinum-selling number one album Made of Bricks.
As well as being named Best Female Artist at the 2008 Brit Awards, Nash’s second studio album My Best Friend Is You also enjoyed an enviable level of success across the globe – attracting plaudits for her distinctive sound and witty lyricisms.
After a quiet couple of years, Nash returned to the limelight in 2012 with punk-tinged single ‘Death Proof’, inspired by the Quentin Tarantino film of the same name, and will be releasing her fourth album Girl Talk in early 2013.
Organisers said: ‘Girl Talk is a bold, passionate and personal album. There's been a romantic break-up in her life and some challenging times with girlfriends. If My Best Friend Is You was about trust, honest, sexism and growing up, then Girl Talk is ‘almost thoughtless’. By which Kate means instinctive. An immediate reaction to the world around her.’
Another coup for the popular Gloucester music venue, local music fans are expected to be clambering over each other to get their hands on tickets for this unmissable calendar highlight.
Please note this event has been rescheduled from Saturday 27 April 2013.
