Businesses and organisations across Gloucestershire have the chance to join in with the Boodles Gold Cup celebrations with an exciting competition to welcome the return of The Cheltenham Festival 2022.
The Festival Shop Window competition 2022 is organised in partnership by SoGlos and Cheltenham Racecourse and aims to spread positivity, creativity and bold colours across Gloucestershire, to celebrate the four extraordinary days of racing coming to Cheltenham from Tuesday 15 to Friday 18 March 2022.
Being held for a second year, the first Festival Shop Window competition in 2019 saw some incredibly inventive designs spring up on High Streets and shopping centres across Gloucestershire, with huge national brands and fashion retailers such as John Lewis getting involved through to family-run restaurants, independent shops and cafes.
What is The Festival Shop Window competition prize?
The first prize is £2,000 in cash, with two runners-up prizes of £500 cash from Cheltenham Racecourse, with an advertising campaign worth £1,000 for the winner on SoGlos too.
Who can take part in The Festival Shop Window competition 2022?
Shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, cafés, hair salons, offices – any type of business or organisation in Gloucestershire can get involved, provided they have a public-facing window or building exterior.
How do you enter The Festival Shop Window competition 2022?
To take part, businesses or organisations simply have to imaginatively dress their window or building exterior with a racing theme, created in keeping with The Festival, by Monday 14 March 2022.
The window or exterior will have to be kept decorated for all to enjoy throughout The Festival 2022.
You also need to share your Festival Shop Window design on social media, either Facebook or Instagram – or both – by posting your photos and using the #festivalshopwindow hashtag.
Please also tag Cheltenham Racecourse (facebook.com/thehomeofjumpracing and instagram.com/cheltenhamraces) and SoGlos (facebook.com/soglos and instagram.com/soglos), as we would love to share your entries.
‘The Festival is undoubtedly one of Gloucestershire’s biggest events which brings visitors to the county from around the world, so this is a wonderful chance for local businesses and organisations to visibly get in the Gold Cup spirit to celebrate its return,’ SoGlos group editor, Michelle Fyrne, said. ‘We hope it really captures people’s imaginations!’
Offering a fun and completely free way to take part in the exciting build-up to The Festival, not to mention win a big cash prize and advertising on Gloucestershire’s leading media brand, it’s time to get working on your creative ideas now…
