Join the crowds on the riverbank for the annual Bourton-on-the-Water bank holiday Football in the River tournament.

The River Windrush will once again play host to two five-a-side football teams this August bank holiday, in the traditional sporting match which dates back almost a hundred years.

Crowds of spectators are expected flock to the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water on Monday 31 August 2020 to watch the bank holiday event which also raises money for the local football teams.

The waters of the river are ankle-deep, and make for a splash landing as the players duck and dive in their efforts to win the match.

Promising some good old-fashioned sporting fun, the event is not to be missed.
