Despite grey skies and the threat of downpours, thousands upon thousands of aviation fans and fun-seeking families descended on Fairford in the Cotswolds this July, with all eyes on the sky for the Royal International Air Tattoo 2010.
An array of international air force ground displays, sideline activities and picnics were to be found, while highlights of the two-day event included the sky high 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and an appearance by the amazing Red Arrows.
