Whether you’re buying a brand new or a used car, looking for a run-around or a family wagon, or searching for the perfect commercial vehicle, choosing which motor to drive off the forecourt is a big decision for drivers.
To give you helping hand, Iain Sercombe, new car sales manager at Bristol Street Motors Ford Gloucester, chats to SoGlos about the different services on offer at the dealership, along with advice on maximising your budget and choosing the right car to suit your lifestyle.
As we are the largest Ford Store within the Bristol Street group of companies, we are able offer the entire range of services for our customers. Our comprehensive after-sales facility includes servicing all makes of car and LCVs (Light Commercial Vehicles), MOTs, while our professional Ford-approved body shop repairs all major accident damage along with minor scuffs.
We are one of the largest wholesale suppliers of Ford parts in the area but are happy to offer professional parts advice to all of our customers. In short, we are a one-stop shop for all of our customers’ motoring needs.
Ford is an iconic brand, founded way back in 1902 by the legendary Henry Ford. The iconic blue oval was introduced in 1907 and is a signature for build quality, affordability and excellent performance.
The brand helps to inspire confidence for its customers by producing vehicles that incorporate some of the latest technology as in the Sync 3 entertainment system, whilst maintaining an enviable and industry-leading build quality.
We find that people demand a good deal, and Ford strives to offer great value for money which has ensured that they have remained the number one brand in the UK for many years.
We have a wide range of vehicles that offer complete flexibility for our customers as their lives and needs change, so many remain loyal to the Ford brand all of their lives joining the army of ‘Ford People’.
We have a comprehensive range of small city cars like the KA+ to the market leading Fiesta. Moving on to the larger SUV range including Eco-sport, Kuga and Edge and of course not forgetting the performance segment with the iconic Focus RS and Mustang vehicles.
For our commercial customers, we are proud to offer the market-leading Transit, which continues to be the largest selling van in the UK. The range has never been more encompassing which makes it a great time to be associated with such a well-known and loved brand.
Undoubtedly, the Ford Fiesta. I’m a firm believer that in the most competitive sector of the market, every manufacturer focuses on producing a great product, however within its segment no vehicle comes close to the Fiesta for desirability, build quality and driveability. It really is a fantastic vehicle.
This is confirmed by the Fiesta remaining the UK’s number one selling model for over 20 years. We have recently updated the model and it is being very well received by our loyal customers and new customers alike.
A great initiative is the new formed partnership with audio giant Bang & Olufsen, who are synonymous with quality and offer an unbelievable listening experience. They are a market leader in the stereo system market and you can now order your brand new Fiesta with the Bang & Olufsen stereo included.
Be organised and prepared by considering everything you need from a vehicle. Then speak to one of our trained sales executives who can help by offering advice on what vehicle may suit your needs best, ensuring that you make an informed decision. You should have fun as well, as buying a car should be an enjoyable experience.
Currently we have just released the new Ford Fiesta and all of our attention for new releases is focused towards this. In the new year we will have to wait and see what will be new to the market, but rest assured 2018 will certainly be another big year for Ford, which will look to push the boundaries of technology and driveability as per previous years.
Many drivers like to be the first in their street to drive the new registration plate. It’s a popular time and a great statement to make driving off in one of the first batch of newly registered vehicles. September is a busy time and within the trade we love it.
It’s great to see so many of our loyal and new customers coming through the door. Whether it is to purchase another vehicle or for their yearly service. Our kettle is always on for a cup of coffee or tea in our brand-new showroom.
The best way to maintain your vehicle after buying a new or used car is with an affordable service plan. This helps to secure your service costs at today’s prices for a period of two to three years whilst getting it maintained at main dealer.
Paint protection is also an important extra to consider when buying your car to maximise resale value in years to come. Prior to taking delivery you can also add factory-fitted or dealer-fitted parking sensors to your vehicle to guard against any knocks whilst parking your car.
