With footy fans gearing up for The FIFA World Cup 2018, we’re getting into the sporting spirit by finding 16 places to watch all the action in Gloucestershire.

With the beautiful game being beamed onto big screens between Thursday 14 June and Sunday 15 July 2018, here’s where you can witness all the nail-biting moments, big goals and penalty shoot-outs at pubs, bars and even cinemas across Gloucestershire…

1. The Frog and Fiddle

The Frog and Fiddle in Cheltenham will be showing every single one of the international football matches on its 14 screens during the World Cup, providing a great setting and bustling atmosphere for the games, whatever team you support.

2. The Beehive

Head to Cheltenham’s popular pub, The Beehive, which will be showing all of the major matches during the FIFA World Cup. With the pub’s excellent menu sure to score with foodies too.

3. The Wheatpieces

Head to Tewkesbury for a slice of World Cup action at Wheatpieces. Cheer on the biggest games at the sports pub, with a great food and drinks menu to keep visitors fed and watered.

4. Tailors Cheltenham

Tailors Cheltenham is a favourite among football fans, showing all the big matches – and the FIFA World Cup is no exception! Head to the town centre venue and join the crowds to witness all the big moments with a drink in hand.

5. The Abbey

All the thrilling moments of The FIFA World Cup will be shown at Gloucester’s popular sports pub, The Abbey. Footie fans can look forward to a lively atmosphere, and can reserve priority seating for the best view of every goal.

6. Whittle Taps

With a central location in Cheltenham, Whittle Taps is perfect for catching a game in town, with an outside area ideal for alfresco celebrations too. Showing the FIFA World Cup on the big screen, there’s the option to book a table too.

For something a little more unique, head to Hillside Brewery in Longhope, which will be showing two of England’s group stage games – Tunisia on Monday 18 June 2018 and Belgium on Thursday 28 June 2018. With a big projector screen, fully-stocked bar and beer brewed onsite, there’s not a bad seat in the house!

Head to Cheltenham’s friendly local pub, The Suffolk Arms, to enjoy a summer of football. Showing all the action, the venue will also have special drinks offers going on throughout the tournament.

9. Lakeside Brasserie

Showing live matches on the big screens, Lakeside Brasserie in South Cerney describes itself as ‘serious about sport’ and is a prime place to enjoy the footie action in the Cotswolds. With food and drinks promotions planned for the FIFA World Cup too.

10. Harry Cook Free House

Located in the Montpellier area of Cheltenham, Harry Cook Free House will be broadcasting the key matches for sports fans. Meanwhile its fully-stocked bar is sure to please fans who can watch the games with a drink or three.

Located on Cheltenham’s high street, The Spectre will draw in the crowds during the FIFA World Cup; enjoy the games and soak up a great atmosphere, with the chance to book a table for the games.

12. The Regal Cinema

For a more luxurious experience, The Regal Cinema in nearby Evesham will be showing England’s group matches, spanning Tunisia on Monday 18 June, Panama on Sunday 24 June and Belgium on Thursday 28 June 2018 on its cinema screen, for a novel experience.

Head to Sup & Chow on Cheltenham’s Bath Road to see all the big World Cup moments on the big screen. What’s more, those who pre-book a table for England’s matches can enjoy free chilli cheese nachos.

Situated in the centre of Gloucester, Chambers will welcome sports fans this summer, showing all the action live from Russia. From the group stages to the final, see the games and take advantage of bottle deals and limited-edition burgers too.

A favourite pub on Bath Road in Cheltenham, The Exmouth Arms welcomes football fans to watch all the live action, either in the bar or on the big screen. Even better, during the World Cup, there’ll be special food promotions.
